The Conference chat room uses the latest Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and will enable

you to hear and see a live Presentation, or Training, from anywhere in the world.

You will need speakers or headphones on to hear what is said. If you wish, when invited, you can communicate with the other people in the conference by either by Text Chat, in the lower RHS of the screen or Speak, if you have a microphone (headsets with a mic can be purchased for under £20).

 

The conference facility is available 24/7 and I strongly recommend you download the software and make sure you can access the conference room, well in advance of the conference you wish to attend. If you have any difficulty in doing so:

First, delete any files you may have downloaded and try reinstalling again.

Depending upon your connection speed, the software will take a few seconds to download and

depending upon which version of windows you are using, you may see the following

dialogue boxes. Please follow the instructions

You should now see the following which appear while the software take a few

seconds to download and check for updates, depending upon your connection speed.

 

On completion, you should now see a login screen like below:

Ensure you are logged into the 'YourSynergy' chat room.

Please use your proper name. It is helpful if Guests Type a 'G' in front of their name eg G-John Smith,

Distributors type a 'D' and Trainers/Presenters a 'T', followed by an abbreviation for where you live:

On International calls, Country abbreviation will suffice, on a UK call an abbrev for Town/County.

If you are logging in as a moderator, you will need to tick the box and enter your moderators password.

When you have logged in, you should see a screen something like the following image:

  • You will see a list of people who are on the call on the upper LHS

  • There is an audio controller to the lower LHS, where you can adjust the sound levels

  • There is also a TALK NOW button which you can depress to speak, if you have a microphone. You must keep this held down while you speak.

  • Alongside this, there is an area where you can text chat. Unless the moderator has private chat activated, whatever you write will be seen by all the members in the meeting.

  • You will be able to see the main presentation on the top RHS. The default screen settings can be adjusted and I suggest you grab the line just above the words 'TEXT CHAT' and pull the window down till TEXT CHAT appears alongside AUDIO CONTROLLER and you should be able to see the whole of the slide, without have to scroll.

  • Please do NOT interrupt the presentation with text chat or speaking, whilst the speaker is speaking, unless invited to do so. When appropriate, there is usually ample time for questions afterwards.

  • Solicitation of other businesses and entering personal contact information, Telephone numbers, emails addresses and websites is STRICTLY forbidden and failure to comply will result in you being Barred from this facility.

  • Depending upon connection speeds and internet traffic, sometimes you may experience some delays in hearing what is said, especially when a slide is being changed. Occasionally there is a gap in the sound. Don't worry, you won't miss anything, the sound will catch up.

  • If you are experiencing undue problems, I recommend you log off, then click on the Green/Red shortcut button, reinstall and log in again.

The conference software will have installed the Green/Red shortcut button. If you wish to join any future conference calls, leave the software installed an you can access the conference room within a few seconds by just clicking on the button.
