Inviting
Inviting - Please adjust your headset or speaker volume This is a very simple process and it should not take more than 1 minute. If it is, you are chatting and not getting to the point, or more likely, you are saying too much and doing a mini presentation. The invitation means exactly that... you are asking someone to listen to, or to take a look at some information, probably on a website. The invitation is the one activity we will always be doing throughout our business career. Basically there are a number of different types of invitation, which broadly fall into three groups: 1. People you know.. Friends, Family, Business Colleagues, Suppliers of Services, etc. 2. Leads... People you don't know, who have requested information about making money from a home based business 3. People you meet... remember a Stranger is a Friend you haven't met yet! Unless you've been in direct sales or had a home based business before, it is most likely we will be starting with the first group... Friends and Family, and that’s the purpose of this particular training. I will be covering prospecting leads and bump-into’s at another time. So, assuming you have made your list, because if you haven't, you need to do that right NOW, let's get right down to it! 1. Approaching Friends and Family Approach 1: Let's assume the first person you call is John... Pick up the phone, dial the first number and when it's answered say: "Hi there John, it's ...... here, I'm in a bit of a hurry, but do you have time to answer a quick question? That's great John. If I email you a link to a website, would you take a look at the information within the next 24 hours, so that we can speak about it, say this time tomorrow?" Approach 2: Try another: "Hi there John, it's ...... here, I'm in a bit of a hurry, but do you have time to answer a quick question? That's great John. Look this may not be for you, but you would be doing me a great favour, if you could take a look at some information on a website for me, and then let me know your opinion. When within the next 24 hours would you be able to do that, if I sent you an email with the link, right now/ Terrific, so if I called you round about ....pm, you can let me know what you think?" Approach 3: and another: "Hi there John, it's ...... here, I'm in a bit of a hurry, but do you have time to answer a quick question? That's great John. Look, you know you've said you were interested in making some additional money... well I've come across something really interesting, where some people are making some serious part time income. So, if I email you a link to a website, when within the next 24 hours will you be able to take a look at the information? Great, so if I call you around about ...pm, you can let me know if it's something you're not interested in, or if it's something you'd like to explore further?" Notice... you don't talk about the Company or the product... let the website do the job! So.. what if, Your prospect asks for more information now: Option 1: Look John, as I said before, I'm really in a hurry now and don't have time to explain... and even if i did, it would be like trying to describe a haircut over the phone... take a look at the information first, then we can get together later and I'll answer any questions you might have. Option 2: OK John, if you have 3 minutes now, I'll patch you through to a short information call and afterwards, you can let me know if you want to explore it further. Then 3-way call them into your sizzle line. Click here if you want information on how to make a 3-way call. If not you'll have to give them the number and say, I'll call you back in 4 minutes and you can let me know what you think! What you DON'T do is... answer any questions about the Company, the Product, the Compensation or the Start-up Fee. Not because you don't want them to know, but because you want them to see the information consistently presented in a professional, structured manner. Also, and of great importance, by NOT giving the information yourself, you are demonstrating the simplicity of the business and how you don't need to be an expert to do it. Start spending 20-45 minutes telling them too much, and they will prejudge and most likely think "I don't have time to learn or talk about all that stuff!" .. Make the call less than one minute and you are demonstrating, via your actions, how simple and time efficient this business can be. Using your Sponsor or Up-line Support Most important of all, is to create a short list that you can get to your sponsor that very first day. This list should have 12-20 names of those people who you would most like to have in your business, but who you fear most to call. You can agree with your Sponsor, whether you or they should make the invite call... I must say, I prefer to make the call on behalf of my new Business Partner. Why?
I like to have, name, telephone numbers, Town where they live and a one liner on who they are and what they do... not an essay! Approach 4: This is what I will say to your prospect: "Hi, is that John, (where I use him or he, please use her or she as appropriate) Great John, Look my name is …………………., you don’t know me, but we have a mutual friend in Sid and, what you probably didn't know is that he and I have recently partnered up in business………. So is it convenient to speak with you now for 2-3 minutes or should I call you back at a better time? Well John, the reason for my call is quite simple. You know Sid.... He's either really busy, or so he says (laugh) or he's not got much on. Well he says he's really busy right now and I suggested I help him out with a few calls. So yesterday, I asked him who he knew with Drive and Ambition, who just might be interested in exploring an additional income stream and, guess what, your name was the first out of his mouth. So I suppose the simple question is… ‘Is Sid right?... if I sent you a link to a website, would you, within the next 24 hours, explore some information on how to create a passive income stream, if you were convinced it wouldn’t take too much time, or be a distraction to your existing occupation?’ You can down load an A4 .pdf copy of this information by clicking here
